Details of Day Tours

The Machu Picchu full day tour begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco , followed by a one - and-a-half-hour bus ride to the train station in Ollantaytambo.   in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas .

Here, you`ll take the train to the picturesque town of Aguas Calientes , a journey of about an hour and a half, where you can admire beautiful landscapes of green mountains and snow-capped peaks. Upon arrival at the station, you`ll take a bus that will connect you to the entrance of the Machu Picchu citadel , where you`ll have time initially to explore part of this impressive archaeological site on your own.

Machu Picchu was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981. This incredible Inca city was built under the rule of Inca Pachacutec in the 15th century, who began the expansion of the Inca empire known as Tahuantinsuyo .

At the agreed-upon time, we will meet our professional guide at the entrance to Machu Picchu to begin the guided tour of the magnificent Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu . We will enjoy a two-and-a-half-hour tour of the Lost City of the Incas, learning about this ancient civilization and admiring its beautiful landscapes.

The citadel is made of enormous stones that fit together perfectly, creating a spectacular landscape. During the budget tour to Machu Picchu , you`ll walk through its streets and avenues, as well as areas that were used for agriculture and religious rites. The entire Inca Empire is connected by the Inca Trail . Undoubtedly, the Incas possessed unique engineering skills in construction and always respected the environment.

You`ll have free time to take photos and continue exploring this fantastic place, or if you wish, you can visit Huayna Picchu mountain (optional). The path is very steep and narrow, but it will give you the best views of the Inca city. You can also return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (optional). There are many excellent options for delicious traditional lunches in the area.

One of the best tours in Cusco is a visit to Machu Picchu . We`re sure it will be one of the best trips of your life.

Then, we`ll be back at the Aguas Calientes train station, and you`ll board the train back to Cusco , making the first stop at the Ollantaytambo train station. From there, a tourist bus will take us to the city of Cusco and drop you off back at your hotel.

During these months, the hiking trails are in better condition and the panoramic views are breathtaking. Fares can vary, and tickets can sell out quickly, leaving visitors unable to choose their preferred times and services.
