A Quiet Base for Walking Quito

Reviews

Hacienda Cusin

We loved staying at Hacienda Cusin for our anniversary trip. Its Calle Chiriboga location made exploring Quito on foot incredibly easy: cafés, small shops, and historic corners were all close by. Once back inside, the atmosphere changed completely—quiet courtyards, thick walls, and barely any street noise. Our room even had a little reading nook facing the garden, where we heard birds instead of traffic. It felt peaceful without being isolated, and wonderfully personal.

Historic Quito sights and kind, thoughtful hotel service

Reviews

La Rosario

We loved staying at La Rosario during our first family trip abroad. The location is fantastic: Quito’s historic center, Plaza Grande, La Ronda, and the trolley are all within an easy walk. The staff were genuinely kind; when our son felt tired, Carolina brought him a cup of warm herbal tea and mapped out a shorter sightseeing route. Clean, welcoming, and wonderfully convenient.

Fast check-in, memorable breakfasts, and a peaceful Quito base for our easy family adventure

Reviews

Quinta San Felipe

Quinta San Felipe made our low-season family trip to Quito wonderfully easy. We were checked in within minutes, and checkout was just as quick—no waiting or surprise paperwork. Breakfast became a highlight: warm pan de yuca, fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order, and excellent coffee. We also enjoyed a cozy dinner there; the locro de papa was rich and comforting. The 24 de Septiembre location felt convenient and peaceful.

Fast check-ins, quiet nights in Quito

Hostal Niiza

Hostal Niiza was a lovely landing spot for me and my teenage daughter in Quito. Check-in took barely five minutes—we were unpacking before I could finish my “traveling” face. Check-out was just as painless, with the bill ready and keys handed over in seconds. The real luxury was the silence: no street roar, no hallway drama, just a faint fountain burble near the courtyard. We even slept past our usual alarm, which felt slightly illegal on vacation. Our room had a tiny balcony and spotless towels. Great base, zero fuss after long sightseeing days.

Warm staff and a walkable Quito location made our first trip easy

Travel House

Travel House was a lovely base for our first international trip, and the staff made us feel at home from check-in. Everyone was patient with our questions, especially the gentleman who drew a tiny map to the best nearby empanada shop. The location on Juan Larrea was ideal: we walked to Plaza Grande, cafés, and the historic center instead of arranging taxis. Our room was simple but spotless, and we appreciated the quiet courtyard after busy sightseeing days. Two friends traveling together, we felt genuinely looked after and would happily stay again.

Walkable Quito days, poolside cooldowns, and one friendly cat

Reviews

Hotel Sweet Garden

After business meetings, I loved wandering straight out from Sweet Garden—La Ronda, cafés, and historic Quito are all comfortably walkable. The pool was a real bonus after sunny afternoons, and the shared lounge areas felt genuinely relaxing, especially the little courtyard with woven chairs and a lemon-water jug. Evenings there were quiet, with my laptop and a surprisingly friendly resident cat. Great base for exploring on foot.
