We will begin our adventure leaving from Puerto Varas at 8:30 AM, bordering Lake Llanquihue on our way to reach the base of Ensenada, where we will meet our guides.
Here we will have a brief talk of security and we will prepare our kyaks for the expedition. We will start smoothly, with protected sailing conditions to familiarize ourselves first with the kayaks, and then we will go to one of the different planned routes, taking into account the tidal and wind conditions of the day.
Once we are more comfortable with the kayaks we will enter the Reloncaví estuary, the first fjord in southern Chile. We will navigate through the bay of Ralún, where the Petrohue River enters the fjord. After crossing the peninsula, we can visualize the Horno Pirén and Yates volcanoes. We will continue south, facing the volcanoes and skirting the hills of the Alerce Andino National Park.
Finally, we will cross the fjord towards Cochamó, a town located between the Cordillera of the Andes and the Pacific Ocean. This place is famous among rock climbers and very popular for its amazing places for hiking. Here we will get out of the water to get on the van that will take us back to Puerto Varas, arriving at approximately 7 PM.
