We will begin the tour by leaving the passenger hotels and heading to our first stop, the Amazon Museum (aka MUSA), which offers some 250 acres of nature near the center of Manaus, Brazil. We will access the trails along with our specialized guide to observe the native flora and fauna, such as frogs, orchids and different types of birds and then climb the 50 meter observation tower to get an overview of the landscape.
After a few hours, we will head to the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (INPA), which, over the years, has been conducting scientific studies on the physical environment and living conditions of the Amazon region to promote human welfare and the regional economy. Currently, INPA is a world reference in tropical biology.
We will take a visit with our specialized guide to learn about their different sectors and learn a little more about the research they are doing to preserve the environment.
At the end, we will return to the passengers` hotels.
