Day 1: Arrival in Rio de Janeiro
Upon arrival at Rio de Janeiro's international airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to spend at your leisure, whether relaxing or exploring the city.
Day 2: Exploring Rio de Janeiro: Christ the Redeemer - Corcovado + City Tour Rio de Janeiro
You will be picked up from your hotel around 8 am for a guided tour of Rio de Janeiro's main sights that will last approximately 8 hours.
We'll start with one of the seven wonders of the modern world, Cristo Redentor, which is located on top of Corcovado Mountain, in Rio's South Zone, 710 meters above sea level, and is one of the most visited monuments in the city. With a paradisiacal view, it is possible to see beautiful beaches, the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon and the city center.
Access to the top is made by van (included in the package), in a journey that takes about 20 minutes, through the Tijuca National Park, the largest urban forest in the world. An ecological tour through the flora and fauna of Rio de Janeiro.
After Christ the Redeemer, we will stop in front of the Maracanã stadium, stage of the most famous football matches, such as the 2014 World Cup final. from the place you can pay a fee on the spot and feel the good energy of this electrifying place (optional).
We proceed to the Sambódromo, where the parades of the samba schools are exhibited during the city's Carnival, there you will visit the Samba Museum and have access to a view of Praça da Apoteose.
We will stop for lunch at a Barbecue Restaurant (included in the package – drinks and desserts apart) and then visit Sugarloaf Mountain, one of the city's postcards. Located at 395 meters above sea level, the route is made by a glass cable car, giving access to a 360º view of Guanabara Bay, Copacabana, Urca, Botafogo and Flamengo.
At the end of the day, we will visit the city center and its main attractions, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Seláron staircase, a work done by the Chilean artist Jorge Seláron, in addition to the country's preserved architecture.
The transfer will return to the selected hotels at the end of the day.
Day 3: Free Day in Rio de Janeiro
Free day to explore Rio de Janeiro. We suggest a jeep tour (optional) that lasts about 4 hours through the Tijuca Forest, where you will find the beautiful Chinese view and the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches and the Guanabara Bay; and by the Botanical Garden, place of imperial palm trees and diverse histories of the Brazil Empire.
Day 4: Free day in Rio de Janeiro
Free day to explore Rio de Janeiro. We suggest a walking tour (optional) in the city center. You can visit the Royal Portuguese Reading Office, the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center, the National Historical Museum and the São Bento Monastery, among other options.
Day 5: Departure to Foz do Iguaçu
We will pick you up from your hotel in Rio de Janeiro to take you to the airport, to catch your flight to Foz do Iguaçu.
Once in Foz do Iguaçu, we will take you to your selected hotel and then have the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city.
Day 6: Tour to the Brazilian Falls with Parque das Aves
The integration between the visitor and all the complexity of the fauna and flora of the Falls region is the key point of this tour. In addition to visiting the Brazilian part of the Iguaçu Falls, the visit also includes the Parque das Aves, rich in spectacular animals. The tour to the Falls does not include entrance, so we will stop at the Tourist Service Post to guarantee your ticket.
The Falls provide an unforgettable tour with more than 275 falls, creating incredible rainbows that make everything even more beautiful. The Parque das Aves is close to the Iguaçu National Park, which facilitates movement and reduces transportation time. Once there, the group goes through several trails within the park to observe and interact with the local nature.
It is a large aviary that houses birds of various species. In total, the number of species exceeds 500, between tropical and exotic, of all colors. In addition to the natives of Brazil, which attract the attention of any visitor, there are also some magnificent original species from other countries. The animals fly over the integrated aviaries, which reproduce the exuberant humid and subtropical flora.
Day 7: Free day in Foz do Iguaçu
Free day to explore Foz do Iguaçu. Suggestion (optional): Tour Argentina Falls, a tour of the Argentine side of the falls with magnificent views of one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
Day 8: Free day in Foz do Iguaçu
Free day to explore Foz do Iguaçu. Suggestion (optional): Itaipu Dam, 7,919 meters long and 96 meters high, the dam has 120 meters of waterfall, it has a view of the central viewpoint and is part of the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant, world leader in clean and renewable energy.
Day 9: End of trip
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Foz do Iguaçu International Airport.
