We will be greeted by locals and after a brief introduction their culture, we go on a 50 minutes drive to another village, at Paricatuba. Were our motorised canoes will be waiting for us to take us to the Lodge (located 85 km from Manaus). We will arrived around noon and enjoy lunch.
After lunch, our bilingual guide you will take us on a canoe trip through small steams to go fishing for piranhas. Later that day, a nocturnal expedition will allow you to see alligators and other wildlife that are hidden during the day time. Once we get back to the lodge, we will have dinner and then, a well deserved rest.
Early in the morning we will have breakfast, followed by an educational 2.5 hours jungle walk. During the walk the guide will teach you about medicinal plants and the trees of the Amazon rain-forest. Also, there's lots of chances to come across some native wildlife. After the walk we return to the lodge to have lunch and some free time to go swimming in the tea-coloured waters of the Negro river. We will start our trip back to Manaus, arriving around 5:00 pm.
