Our day begins early in the morning, when we pick you up at your accommodation in the city centre.
First we head to Punta Tombo, the town where the largest continental colony of Magellanic penguins in the world lives. Here you can observe these friendly animals in their natural habitat and walk with them. In addition to penguins, the reserve is home to a diverse fauna that includes guanacos, piches, maras, rheas, foxes, seagulls, cormorants and skuas.
After some free time walking among all the fauna with the precautions previously explained by the guide, we leave for Trelew to visit the Estancia Las Bardas, known for its artisanal Pinot Noir and Syrah wines and its extensive olive groves.
We begin by exploring the olive groves, where they will explain the cultivation process to us and production of olives and olive oil, from planting to pressing, preservation and labeling.
Next, we head to the winery to learn about winemaking. Local winemakers will guide us through the different stages of production, from harvesting the grapes to bottling, including the fermentation process and barrel aging.
To conclude the visit, we will enjoy a short wine tasting paired with local products and regional delicacies. The sommelier will offer us details about the combination of flavors and textures with the different types of wine and their ideal temperatures.
Finally, we will be able to have lunch at Estancia Las Bardas with a delicious Patagonian lamb, to close a complete experience in Chubut. We finish our tour returning to the city of departure.
