Details of Day Tours

9:45am: Our Tigre Delta Day Trip By Boat begins at the Terminal Fluvial de Sturla in Puerto Madero, where our tour guide will meet you.

10 - 11:45am: We’ll sail along the Río de la Plata towards Tigre and get incredible views of Buenos Aires on the way.

11:45 - 12:15pm: We’ll get to the Delta del Río Paraná where we’ll sail between lots of little islands and you’ll get to see the unique lifestyle here, with floating taxis, rafts and even shops dotting around.

12:15pm: Jumping off the boat in Tigre, we’ll head onto the tourist bus. This comfortable bus is the best way to see the area, as it takes you round all the main sites whilst also playing an informative audio to fill you in on the historic importance of each.

1pm: We’ll make our first stop at the Puerto de Frutos, a popular tourist spot for locals which used to be a landing port for market goods. Each weekend it is flooded with locals escaping Buenos Aires and looking for some respite by the river. You’ll have some free time to visit the fair, take pictures, buy souvenirs and even get your hands on some handmade crafts.

1:30pm: After this, you’ll be able to get some lunch at one of the many restaurants and stalls in the area. Over the years, Tigre has become a foodie hub with plenty of choice between typical Argentine dishes and international cuisine (lunch not included).

2:30pm: Back on the tourist bus, we’ll make our second stop in Paseo Victoria, a remarkable place full of nature, views of the river, gastronomy, rowing clubs and historic museums. If you fancy, you can visit one of the following museums: Museo del Mate, Museo Naval or Museo de Arte de Tigre (entry not included).

4:15pm: We’ll head along to the Tigre train station.

4:30 - 5:30pm: Our journey back to Buenos Aires will get into Retiro station at around 5:30, and here is where our tour will come to a close.

Reviews of Day Tours Tigre

A very pleasant tour

Tigre is a very nice town located on Delta of the Paranà river, in Buenos Aires neighboorhood: it’s the perfect place to visit during the weekend. The tour consisted in a boat tour from Puerto Madero to Tigre. Along the Rio de la Plata we had one of the best views of Buenos Aires. In Tigre we walked around Puerto de Frutos, the old fruit market, and visit the Naval Museum. We returned to Buenos Aires by train. Special thanks to our guide, Carlos: he was very kind and exhaustive.

Great tours

We arranged a couple of great value tours with this local travel agent / tour operator. Easy to book and great choice of things to do, last minute arrangements were handled easily by the great staff. We went to polo match and a Tigre Delta tour with this company which were both fantastic. Given more time we would have done them all!

Excelent Tour to Tigre!

Very beautiful tour to Tigre (North of Buenos Aires)! It was amazing to navigate the Rio La Plata and the Delta as well. We really liked the Fruit Port and the food was great. It was also very good to get to know the Retiro Train Station, when we took the train back to the city. Me and my wife really enjoyed the whole experience!
