Full Day Trip to Colonia del Sacramento with Ferry and Lunch
The adventure begins early, at 9:00 AM, at the Port of Buenos Aires , where we`ll meet to check in and prepare to cross the Río de la Plata. Around 10:30 AM, we`ll board the ferry to Colonia del Sacramento , and during the crossing, you can enjoy panoramic views of Buenos Aires receding into the distance, as well as all the comforts the ship offers.
After approximately an hour`s journey, we will arrive in Colonia del Sacramento , Uruguay, a UNESCO World Heritage city. From the port, we will head to the Historic Quarter , where a local guide will accompany us on a walking tour through its cobblestone streets , sharing the fascinating history of the city and taking us to iconic landmarks such as the Portón de Campo ( Country Gate), the Calle de los Suspiros (Street of Sighs) , the Lighthouse , and other charming corners.
After the guided tour, we will go to the El Refugio Restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch (drinks not included), in a traditional atmosphere that invites you to relax and savor the local cuisine.
In the afternoon, you will have free time to continue exploring Colonia at your own pace: get lost among its picturesque streets, discover colorful houses and colonial facades, stop in its craft shops or simply contemplate the Río de la Plata from one of its viewpoints.
The return to Buenos Aires will be on the 8:30 PM ferry . You must arrive at the port of Colonia an hour and a half in advance for boarding. The crossing takes approximately one hour, arriving back at the Port of Buenos Aires, thus concluding this full-day excursion to one of the most enchanting destinations in South America.
