Our Day Trip to Montevideo from Buenos Aires begins at the ferry port (details above) at 7am where we’ll hop onto the ferry at Buqueavion and embark on our trip to Montevideo at 8am.
We’ll arrive at around 11am and head off on a city tour round the old town. Here we’ll see a huge number of colonial-style buildings such as the Cabildo de Montevideo (built between 1804 and 1812), the Teatro Solis, Iglesia Matriz as well as several museums which include Museo Torres García, the Museo de Arte Precolombino e Indígena and the Museo de Artes Decorativas.
When our city tour comes to an end at around 5pm we’ll visit Punta Carretas, the biggest shopping mall in Uruguay. Here we’ll see luxury services, a combination of local and international brands as well as unique lighting, one of the most striking parts of this mall.
We’ll then make our way back over to the port for around 6pm. Our ferry will set off at around 7:15pm, and after 3 hours on the water we’ll bring our tour to a close at the port in Buenos Aires.
