Details of Day Tours

Daily departures from the Puerto Norte marina.
Located on the northern waterfront in front of Jorge Newbery Metropolitan Airport.

We sail for about 30/40 minutes to the Playa Honda area, located 25 km from the Argentine coast of Buenos Aires, as well as from the Uruguayan coast near Colonia del Sacramento.
Fishing literally takes place "in the middle of the river" between the Argentine and Uruguayan coasts. Or better yet, "in the heart of the estuary."
Once you reach your destination, the fishing method used to encounter the schools of silverside in this vast area is called "garete", which consists of letting the boat drift with the wind and tide, thus covering a large portion of the river and increasing the chances of encountering the species.
The boats have a nautical grill on board, offering Creole and native lunches such as the pork loin or bondiola sandwiches that are so characteristic of us porteños.

The 8-meter boats are very comfortable when facing the difficult waters of the Rio de la Plata, and guarantee a pleasant and smooth navigation, avoiding bumps and getting wet (essential in winter). They also have all the necessary elements to prioritize safety above all else.

Boarding time 8:00 AM

The Río de la Plata offers fishing opportunities year-round, but the best time to maximize your catch is between October and March, coinciding with the warmest weather in Buenos Aires. During these months, the abundance of species such as dorado and silverside is significant. However, outside of this season, other less common species can also be caught. In the Río de la Plata, anglers can encounter a wide variety of species. Some of the most common include dorado, silverside, boga, and tararira. The dorado is especially famous for its size and the challenge it offers anglers. It is also possible to catch catfish and patí in different areas of the river. The rich biodiversity of the Río de la Plata makes each excursion unique, and guides are trained to take tourists to the best fishing spots to maximize the chances of a good catch.
Safety is a priority during a fishing trip on the Río de la Plata. It is important to follow the guide`s instructions at all times, as they are trained to handle any emergency situation. Each boat is equipped with life jackets that must be worn at all times. It is also recommended to wear sunscreen, a hat, and appropriate clothing to protect yourself from the sun.
