Details of Day Tours

The tour begins leaving the passengers` hotel towards the beaches Calhau, São Marcos, Ponta D` areia and Espigão. The beauties of these beaches contrast with the large, modern buildings of the new center of São Luiz. We will visit the famous Jansen Lagoon the space gathers an area with multi-sports courts, bicycle paths and tracks for walking and running.

Then we will proceed to the historic center of the city, where the beauties of colonial architecture. During our walk through the streets and cobbled alleys, we will be able to observe the beautiful mansions that show the architectural legacy of the colonization of the city. Founded by the French, and under the influence of the Portuguese, Dutch and Indians, the region has its own cultural expression, a consequence of the mixture of all those who lived there.

During our walk, we will pass by the Pedro II Square, a landmark at the beginning of the city, the Palace of the Lions, seat of government, the Cathedral de la Sé, Giz street, cultural center of the region, which houses several popular culture centers and folklore . We will visit the Beco Catarina Mine, with its shops and restaurants, and continue to the Casa das Tulhas, one of the main tourist spots in the city.

Casa das Tulhas or Mercado de Tulhas, as it is known, is a shopping center that has dozens of stores that sell the most varied local products. From food and spices to handicrafts and clothing.

After the tour, we will return to the passengers` hotels.
