Day 1: Quito - Lago Agrio - Rio Cuyabeno - Laguna Grande - Cuyabeno Lodge
Crossing the Andes to the oil city of Lago Agrio by bus or plane, arrival approx. at 10:00 am. Private transport to the bridge on the Cuyabeno River (100 km). We offer them lunch in the restaurant of the Bridge or arriving at the Lodge according to the air schedules. Transportation in a motorized canoe along the Cuyabeno River to the Laguna Grande where the Cuyabeno Lodge is located. During this tour, you can already appreciate the richness of the flora and fauna. After a nap, exploration walk in the lagoon, swimming and sunset watching.
Day 2
Early in the morning before breakfast, bird watching and dolphin hunting. Then, walk on the mainland with your naturalist guide who will explain about the jungle, animal life, medicinal plants and the life of the natives. After lunch a nap. Later, canoe ride through the forest of macrolobiums covered with abundant epiphytes. Search for monkeys and birds.
Day 3
After breakfast, canoe trip on the Cuyabeno River followed by a short walk on the mainland towards the Siona Community. The natives will explain their culture and the preparation of the typical "casabe" will be observed. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, a nap and a refreshing swim in the Laguna Grande. After dinner night excursion to observe alligators, insects and night birds.
Day 4
Early in the morning bird watching. After breakfast, walk in the jungle to explore plants and animal life. In the afternoon excursion to explore small lagoons.
Day 5
After breakfast, travel to the Bridge where our vehicle will take you to Lago Agrio in order to take the bus or the plane back to Quito. We offer you a box lunch.
