We will begin our day by leaving Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt to head towards Lake Llanquihue, the second largest lake in the country. From here we will visit the beautiful city of Frutillar, founded by German settlers who settled on farms near the bay to engage in agricultural activities. We can still contemplate the German colonial urban style in this place where the peaceful country life, happy gardens, colorful houses and tea rooms are mixed.
Here we can enjoy the southern traditions, as Frutillar perfectly reflects the history of the German settlers throughout the region. We will be able to see it in its architecture, in the roses introduced in the gardens and typical gastronomy.
We will be able to visit the Lake Theater, one of the biggest and most modern in South America, and the German Colonial Museum, to understand more about the history in the area. After the visit, we will be returning to our selected hotels.
