The tour begins with departure from San Pedro de Atacama to the most important archaeological sites in the area: the Pukará de Tulor and Quitor.
We will start by visiting the Pukará de Quitor, which is a pre-Hispanic fortress built in the 17th century by the inhabitants of Atacama. Today it is an archaeological monument of great historical importance, since here took place the battle of Quitor, one of the first clashes between Spaniards and indigenous people, occurred at the beginning of the conquest.
Then we will visit the village of Tulor, where the so-called "San Pedro Culture" began. This construction is probably the first settlement of the Salar de Atacama basin, being preserved in time thanks to the natural conditions of the place. Its construction resembles a labyrinth in circles, where in each one there was a house or meeting place.
We will continue our way to have lunch and we will go to a typical Atacameña family house, to taste the flavors of the region. Then we will return to San Pedro de Atacama, where the tour ends.
