We start with the departure from the passenger hotels in the city of Rio de Janeiro to begin our journey to the imperial city of Petrópolis, which is located in the mountainous part of the state, one hour away.
We will visit the Imperial Museum, where passengers will find a variety of historical pieces and documents of great importance to the country's history, such as the emperor's scepter and crown, imperial jewels and works of art that belonged to the royal family.
We will also visit the Crystal Palace, built in France, in a pre-assembled iron structure, by order of Count D'Eu and Princess Elizabeth. Today it is used for concerts and plays.
We will continue to the Cathedral of San Pedro de Alcantara, of French neo-gothic style and built around 1884. There lie the remains of Don Pedro II, Doña Teresa Cristina, Conde D'Eu and Princess Isabel.
Then, we will visit the former residence of Santos Dumont, a famous Brazilian aviator. During the tour, there will be a stop for lunch at one of the city's restaurants of choice (not included).
Finally, we return to the hotels in Rio de Janeiro, where the tour ends.
