After a fantastic low-season family trip, Mdj Suites on Avenida Vereador Antonio Ferreira in Cabo Frio felt like a relaxed home base. The pool was spotless and pleasantly quiet, with cushioned loungers and a shaded corner where I spent late afternoons. Our room overlooked the pool and coastline; seeing the orange evening light reflected on the water was a real treat. The shared lounge had a small coffee station and plenty of space to unwind. After several busy days on our Tangol tour, Airport Pousada was a wonderfully practical stop. Check-in took barely five minutes, even with our late arrival, and checkout was just as quick—keys returned and bags loaded in no time. The Estrada da Figueira location is handy for Cabo Frio Airport and a short drive to Praia do Forte and the canal restaurants. Our room was simple but tidy; the little covered patio was a pleasant surprise.
