On this Mount Susana trekking tour, the day begins when we meet in the lobby of your hotel. A comfortable, well-equipped vehicle awaits to take us to the trailhead, located about 8 kilometers west of downtown Ushuaia, near the coast of the Beagle Channel.
We begin the adventure with a one-hour walk through the native forest, a vibrant, lively environment where a unique mix of species such as lengas, canelos, and notros predominate.
Upon leaving the forest, we arrive at a natural viewpoint that gives us our first panoramic views of the Tierra del Fuego landscape. This point is ideal for taking a break and taking pictures of the surroundings with our cameras.
The trail then takes us to the summit of Mount Susana, 610 meters above sea level. In this part of the route, the terrain changes from forest to mountain area. The climb may seem challenging, but each step brings us closer to the spectacular views that await us at the top.
Upon reaching the summit, the effort is rewarded with an unparalleled view of the Beagle Channel, the mountains of the Andes Mountains, and other iconic landscapes of Tierra del Fuego. Here, we enjoy a delicious box lunch while we rest and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.
After lunch, we begin the descent. We resume the journey, returning to the starting point and finally to the vehicle that will take us back to Ushuaia.
