The tour begins with a transfer from your Ushuaia hotel to the "Don Eduardo Arturo Brisighelli" Tourist Port, where we will board the boat. As we sail away from the coast, we will be able to see incredible panoramic views of the entire city and its most important buildings, as well as a combination of sea and mountains , highlighting the Mount Olivia, Cinco Hermanos, the Fique and Túnel ranches, and the Encajonado River .
From there, we`ll take the boat to the Bridges Islands . Here, we`ll disembark for a leisurely walk. On this island in the middle of the Beagle Channel , we`ll focus on the following attractions:
- Yámana Shell Mound : Near the dock, we`ll find the archaeological remains of the settlements of the Yámana or Yaghan people, the original inhabitants of the Beagle Channel. Through the guide`s stories, we`ll enter their world and imagine how they lived.
- Island Flora Interpretation: We`ll explore the interpretive trail to appreciate the plants, flowers, and fruits in this unique ecosystem.
We`ll re-embark and sail southwest. We`ll approach Sea Lion Island , and from the boat, we`ll have the opportunity to observe these friendly marine mammals. We`ll watch the sea lions for about 20 minutes in their natural habitat.
We will continue sailing towards Bird Island . This is the natural habitat of Magellanic and Imperial Cormorants. From here, we will have a privileged view of the marine birds.
The tour will continue to Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse , in the archipelago of the same name, where it is possible to see the Monte Cervantes shipwreck, which sank in 1930.
If you are a photography enthusiast, don`t worry! The catamaran will stop at the aforementioned points of interest and make several turns so that passengers can take the best photographs of the area.
We will begin our return to Ushuaia through Paso Chico, passing by the Túnel and Fique ranches. We will enjoy the beautiful view of the city from Mount Martial and the glacier of the same name.
