On this half-day experience combining trekking and paddling, we`ll pick you up at your hotel and head to the starting point. We begin with a 40-minute, low-intensity hike, crossing through forests and peat bogs native to Tierra del Fuego. We arrive at Laguna Mariposa, where we`ll inflate the rafts that each participant carries in their backpack. The Packraft is a portable inflatable boat designed for use on all bodies of water, including technical whitewater and ocean bays and fjords, and is designed to be light enough to be transported over long distances. While we prepare, we`ll receive a briefing on safety and paddling technique.
At the lagoon, we`ll practice our skills before entering the river. We`ll paddle downriver for an hour, enjoying the stunning scenery of mountains and valleys of the Andes Mountains. On the river, it is common to see ducks, birds and sometimes beavers.
Our first stop will be at a river beach, where the Laguna Esmeralda stream joins the Olivia River. Here, we will take a break to eat something and relax, enjoying the majesty of the surroundings.
We continue the tour through sections with native forest and bushes on the sides of the river, connecting with nature and appreciating the unaltered landscape. Finally, we return to the starting point, from where you will be transferred back to your hotel, culminating a day full of adventure and natural beauty.
