We will be picked up at our accommodation in El Peñón. Afterwards, we will have a 75 km journey in a 4x4 vehicle until we reach the Galán Volcano.
We will visit the Cavi Lagoon where we will find some flamingos. There, the level of minerals such as arsenic and saltpeter makes the area less habitable for them.
We will continue our journey to the Laguna Grande where the red foxes and the vicuñas live, as well as approximately 19,000 flamingos of 3 species, Jamesi, Andean and Chilean during the months of September and April, then they migrate to other lagoons in the province of Córdoba and Santa Fé.
During the tour, we will be able to observe the peñones, large rock formations with an impressive height of 4300 meters above sea level.
Later, we will stop at the Galán Volcano viewpoint at 4,800 meters above sea level, from where we can observe the impressive crater of the Galán Volcano with a diameter of 35 km, recognized as the largest in the world.
Following that, we will find the Pabellón Lagoon and the Diamante Lagoon, a spectacular view that we can photograph and film, as well as contemplate the fumaroles and geysers that have a temperature of 80°C.
At the end of the excursion, we will return to the town of El Peñón and they will drop us off again at our hotel.
