Day 1 | Arrival in Salta
Upon arrival at the Salta airport or bus terminal, a vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel located in the city center.
Once settled in, you`ll have the rest of the day free to start enjoying Salta, the Beautiful , explore its historic center, or simply relax before starting your adventure activities.
Day 2 | Rafting on the Juramento River
After breakfast you will depart for the Juramento River to experience an exciting day of rafting.
Before you begin, expert guides will explain basic navigation techniques and safety procedures. Then you`ll receive all the necessary equipment to start your descent.
The adventure will take you on a journey of approximately 12 kilometers along the Juramento River , passing through around 15 rapids during about two hours of activity.
The route will end at Los Lapachos, surrounded by a spectacular natural environment.
After rafting, you`ll return to the base, where you`ll have time to relax and enjoy the facilities. You can also opt for a traditional Argentine barbecue (asado criollo), which is not included in the program.
Then you will begin your return journey to Salta and you will have the afternoon and evening free.
Day 3 | Free day in Salta
This day will be completely free so you can enjoy Salta your way.
You can explore the historic center, visit its main attractions, discover its markets and museums, or simply enjoy the gastronomy and atmosphere of the city.
You will also have the option to add an additional excursion on your own during your stay.
Day 4 | Bishop`s Slope, Los Cardones National Park and Mini-trekking
After breakfast you will set off for one of the most adventurous days of the trip.
The route begins by crossing the Lerma Valley and then ascending in a 4x4 vehicle up the spectacular Bishop`s Hill , reaching approximately 3,348 meters above sea level .
You will continue through Los Cardones National Park and the famous Tin Tin Straight , an impressive straight line that cuts through the high landscape.
The adventure will continue towards Los Graneros and the Devil`s Bridge , where the Calchaquí River enters a system of underground caves.
There you will do a mini-trek to explore the caves and discover this unique natural landscape up close.
Afterwards you will enjoy a picnic in the heart of nature before continuing towards the Black Rock Field of the Twin Volcanoes and the old town of La Poma, located near the imposing Nevado de Acay , approximately 5,800 meters high.
At the end of the experience you will begin your return to Salta, arriving at approximately 8:00 pm.
Day 5 | Farewell to Salta
After breakfast you will check out of the hotel.
You will have free time until the scheduled time for your transfer to the airport or bus terminal in Salta.
