We will start the tour at 09:00 am with the pick-up from the central hotels of Bariloche City to move along route 258 to the southern part of Nahuel Huapi Park. We will do all this bordering the Manso River until we arrive at Josh Ranch, where we will be welcomed.
We will be welcomed with a coffee, put on our navigation equipment and then the head-guide will give us a safety talk. Once the explanation is finished, we will be ready to start sailing the last stretch of the Manso River in Argentinean territory. In the first stretch the tranquility of the river allows us to appreciate the environment, enjoy the white sand beaches and observe the waterfalls that fall into the river from the top.
As we advance, the Manso becomes more impetuous and in our raft we raft exciting rapids through narrow canyons where the exuberant vegetation of the area appears: El Cajón de Terciopelo, Agujero de Ozono, Gritá y doblá a la izquierda, el Tobogancito, Garganta Profunda, Ecstasy, Huevo Revuelto, Colmillo and Internacional. The gorges accompany our journey through the Andes Mountains.
Our navigation will end once we reach the border with Chile: the Border Post is the one that crowns the place. We will load the equipment, return to Ranch´s John by the new road that runs through an old muleteer`s path and along the way, we will border streams and cross ravines.
When we arrive at John`s Ranch we will be surprised not only by the warm hospitality of the family but also by the unparalleled beauty of this typical Patagonian ranch. Its picturesque house, the sheds, its beautiful garden and trees, reflect more than fifty years of work. This incredible landscape is complemented by the view of Cerro Bastión.
Once the tour is over, we will return to downtown Bariloche and drop you off at your central hotel.
