Cerro Tronador Tour In Bariloche, Argentina - Explore Glaciers And Majestic Peaks

Reviews 4,8/5 Stars - Based On 6 Reviews

Discover Bariloche`S Cerro Tronador - Book Your Glacier Adventure Today!

If you want to spend a day surrounded by nature and explore the mountains and lakes of Patagonia, do not hesitate to book this tour to Cerro Tronador.
This bus ride is a must for those who want to enjoy natural beauties and get to know the "ancient ice" of Patagonia.

Along the way, we will drive by the impressive Gutierrez and Mascardi lakes, until we reach Cerro Tronador. The name of this hill is due to the noise produced by the frequent landslides and falls of blocks of ice similar to that of thunder.

We will drive along mountain roads that will allow us to clearly observe the varied characteristics of the Patagonian landscape: lakes, forests, rock formations and, of course, the imposing Andes Mountain Range.

The tour also includes two short walks that will take us to different panoramic points and that will bring us closer to beautiful rivers and waterfalls.

Details of Day Tours

Early in the morning, we will pick you up by central hotels in Bariloche and we will go towards Gutiérrez and Mascardi lakes. Driving along their shores, we will take a dirt road to reach Cerro Tronador.

We will cross a bridge over the Manso river continuing until Pampa Linda. Later we will take a break to have lunch and rest.
At this stop, those who wish to do so, can take an easy trail in the Valley of the Vuriloches that is divided into two sections, the first after 10 minutes we will reach a panoramic point where we can see a waterfall and, after another 10 minutes, we`ll get under it.

We will continue with the journey and reach the end of the walkway, through a beeches and coihues forest from where we can appreciate the spectacular views of Manso Glacier, also known as the Black Glacier.

Some meters later, the trip will end slowly and we will return to the Cerro Tronador base. From there, by a simple path we will visit a great rocky amphitheater called Garganta del Diablo, its main attraction are the waterfalls that fall from great height, product of the thaw; then we will cross the bridge over the Lower Manso River and we will have the chance to see the 3 famous peaks: Argentina, 3410 m; Internacional, 3554 m y Chile, 3474 m.

We will go back to Bariloche.
