We will pick you up at your accommodation in Antofagasta de la Sierra.
The tour begins to be panoramic from 5 km away, passing by the Laguna Colorada and the Quebrada de Calalaste, where you begin to see wild flora and fauna such as vicuñas, flamingos, mountain pigeons, as well as adobe houses and beautiful landscapes.
Our first stop is the Mirador del Salar de Antofalla, located at an altitude of 4000 meters above sea level, from where you can see a large part of the salt flat. Next, we visit the Green Lagoon, where you can see small lagoons in green, light blue and orange.
At noon, we have lunch in the town of Antofalla, which has several dining rooms where you can make a reservation or order on the spot. There is also a church and a mineral mill from the mid-18th century. As it is a small town, we will meet the local community and be in contact with the locals.
We continue towards the Ojos de Campo, circular lagoons that attract attention due to their formation, which has been studied by scientists. Then, we visit the Botijuelas area, where Don Simon Morales shows us a hot spring and an old, extinct geyser, as well as an excellent panoramic view of various landscapes. There we can bathe or put our feet in the water of the hot springs.
Finally, we begin the return trip through the Quebrada del Diablo, where the land is dyed with colors, until we reach the town of Antofagasta again.
