Details of Cruises

Day 01 - Monday
Meeting point in the lobby of the Tropical Executive Hotel at 2:00 p.m. Board the Amazon Clipper and set off for the Amazon River while enjoying a welcome drink and learning about the ship`s routes and facilities. After a snack, meet in the leisure room for lectures on the Amazon, from which we can gain a better understanding of the ecology of the Amazon. Before dinner, there will be time to enjoy a caipirinha, Brazil`s national drink, while watching the sunset. After dinner, explore the streams and ponds and, with the help of a spotlight, look out for crocodiles and alligators, and sometimes even nighthawks, snakes, sloths, and frogs.

Day 02 - Tuesday
Wake up on Lake Janauacá and begin a canoe excursion through the canals and lakes full of amazing aquatic plants, keeping your eyes open for birds and pink dolphins. Return for breakfast, then take a walk through the forest and visit the inhabitants of the lake, who live on cassava, fishing, fruit trees, rubber, chestnuts, wood, and other extractive products. Piranha fishing in the afternoon is not only for fishing lovers, it is also possible to see large flocks of beautiful birds such as herons. After dinner, explore the forest in canoes to observe nocturnal animals and admire the millions of stars, including sometimes the "Southern Cross", the smallest of the modern constellations.

Day 03 - Wednesday
One last birding excursion and see the Vitória Regia, the water lilies giants, in the Ecological Park of January. Explore the mysterious flooded forest by canoe or on trails, observing the nature of the trees and water. While we have breakfast, the boat will begin its navigation towards the "Meeting of the Waters" - a unique spectacle where the muddy waters of the Amazon and the dark waters of the Rio Negro flow together without mixing for several kilometers. Making the return trip, we will pass through Manaus, observing the floating docks, the market, the old customs house and the Opera dome, arriving around 11:30 a.m. at the Tropical Hotel Dock.
