Our tour begins once we meet at the Puerto Exploradores dock, where we will have a brief safety talk and information about the trip. After boarding one of our boats, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast admiring the landscape that unfolds before our eyes, in a smooth navigation of approximately 2 hours.
We will cross the lagoon to disembark on the beach of the Isthmus of Ofqui. Here we will have our lunch, and then we will start a walk along a historical path. On this path we will be able to find the vestiges of what was the attempt to build a channel to unite Laguna San Rafael with the Gulf of Sorrows, approximately halfway through the last century.
After two hours of walking we will arrive at the Negro River, where we will embark on a boat and make the descent through the river. After 1:30 hours of navigation we will arrive at San Quintin beach, where we will be able to appreciate the impressive view of the homonymous glacier. Here we will set up our camp and prepare dinner. During all this trip we will know more about the history of Ofqui and we will enjoy the beautiful beach at the end of the road.
On our second day, we will hike to Devil`s Island. Here we will be able to discover whale bones and miniature forests, as part of the wonderful biodiversity of the area. We will arrive at nightfall to spend the night in our camp.
During the third day we will return to San Rafael where a boat will take us to the blue wall of the glacier. We will begin the return to Bahía Exploradores after lunch, returning at approximately 5:30 pm.
