Once gathered at the dock of Puerto Exploradores, we will have a brief safety talk and information about the trip. After boarding one of our boats, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast admiring the landscape that unfolds before our eyes, in a smooth navigation of approximately 2 hours.
We will cross the lagoon to disembark on the beach of the Isthmus of Ofqui. Here we will make our lunch, and then we will start a walk along a historic path. In this path we can find the vestiges of what was the attempt to build a channel to connect Laguna San Rafael with the Gulf of penalties, approximately in the middle of the last century.
After two hours of walking we will reach the Negro River, where we will embark on a boat and make the descent down the river. After 1:30 hours of navigation we will arrive at San Quintín beach, where we can appreciate the impressive view of the homonymous glacier. Here we will prepare our camp and prepare dinner. Throughout this journey we will learn more about the history of Ofqui and enjoy the beautiful beach at the end of the road.
On our second day, we will take a walk to Devil's Island. Here we can discover whale bones and miniature forests, as part of the wonderful biodiversity of the sector. We will arrive at dusk to spend the night in our camp.
During the third day we will return to San Rafael where we will find a boat that will take us to the blue wall of the glacier. We will begin the return to Bahía Exploradores after lunch, returning at approximately 5:30 p.m.
