The tour begins with the departure from the hotels in San Pedro de Atacama, home of the Atacama culture and archeological capital of Chile.
We will travel towards Toconao, a small village that, according to scientific data, has human life registres dating back more than 12,000 years old, in a sector known as Lickanantai. In this village is the church of St. Luke, with his little bell, and made of mud and straw. We will also visit the workshop and craft fair in the area, rich in alpaca wool items and handicrafts in cactus.
Then we will continue to the Salar de Atacama, the largest in Chile, to visit the Flamencos National Reserve and Chaxa Lagoon, with a scenic viewpoint, that allows us to recognize the different species of flamingos in the area. We will enjoy time to walk around and photograph this unique scene.
The tour ends with the return to San Pedro de Atacama.
