The tour begins with the departure from the hotels in San Pedro de Atacama, cradle of the Atacama culture and archaeological capital of Chile.
We will travel to Toconao, a town that, according to scientific data, has a date of human life of more than 12,000 years in the ancient sectors known as lickanantai. In this town you will find the church of San Lucas, with its small bell tower made of adobe and straw. We will also visit the workshop and the handicraft fair of the area, rich in alpaca wool articles and cactus crafts.
Then we will continue to the Salar de Atacama, the largest salt flat in Chile, to visit the Los Flamencos National Reserve. We will also visit the Chaxa Lagoon, with a viewpoint, where you can recognize the different species of flamingos in the area. There we will enjoy some time to walk and photograph this unique spectacle.
The tour ends with the return to San Pedro de Atacama.
