The tour begins with the departure from the selected hotels to visit some of the most important points where we can verify the history of the city of Salvador, its first streets, squares and churches.
We start with the Barra Lighthouse to reach the Cidade Alta (upper city) through the Corredor de la Victoria, Campo Grande and Piedade. It is the modern part of the city, so there are large buildings and shopping centers; the streets and avenues are very busy, and it is considered the economic center of Salvador.
Then we will walk through the Municipal Square, where the Rio Branco Palace and the City Hall are located, in front of the Lacerda elevator, from whose balustrades you can see one of the most beautiful views of the Bay of All Saints.
From the elevator`s viewpoint, we will appreciate the Upper City, the Lower City and the diversity of angles offered by the variety of plans offered by the streets and houses of Pelô. We will continue to the Terreiro de Jesus, where the Cathedral Basilica of the Savior is located and we will visit the St. Francis Church, one of the richest in Brazil and considered the most beautiful example of Portuguese Baroque in the world.
We will finish our tour in Largo do Pelourinho, a place that mixes colors, races, culture and history. Recognized as a world heritage site by UNESCO and immortalized by the illustrious writer Jorge Amado.
At the end, we will return to the passengers` hotels.
