The Rio de Janeiro and Manaus Classic tour package includes accommodations at select hotels, airport-to-hotel transfers, and guided tours of the main attractions of both cities. In Rio de Janeiro, you`ll enjoy a tour of the famous Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. In Manaus, you`ll explore the fascinating Amazon rainforest with river excursions. This package is ideal for discovering Brazil`s rich culture and biodiversity, guaranteeing an unforgettable travel experience.
The tour typically lasts 7 days, combining the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro with the mysterious Amazon region around Manaus. The first few days are spent exploring Rio, where you`ll visit iconic sites like Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain. You`ll then fly to Manaus to immerse yourself in the Amazon, participating in ecotourism activities like boat tours and guided jungle hikes. This itinerary is designed to offer a broad and comprehensive overview of two of Brazil`s most iconic regions.
Since you`ll be visiting both a cosmopolitan city and a tropical rainforest region, we recommend packing light, breathable clothing. In Rio de Janeiro, casual, comfortable clothing is ideal for exploring the city and its beaches. For Manaus, it`s crucial to bring long-sleeved shirts and pants to protect yourself from insects, as well as waterproof footwear for jungle excursions. Don`t forget sunscreen, insect repellent, and a light jacket in case the weather gets cooler at night.
Both Rio de Janeiro and Manaus are cities that receive numerous tourists each year and have implemented safety measures for visitors. In Rio, it is advisable to stay in tourist areas and follow the instructions of local authorities. In Manaus, excursions are led by professionals knowledgeable about the jungle, ensuring a safe experience. As always, basic precautions such as not displaying valuables and being attentive to your belongings are recommended to enjoy a safe and pleasant trip.
To travel to the Brazilian Amazon region, it is recommended that you be vaccinated against yellow fever at least 10 days before your arrival, as this is an endemic area for the disease. It is also advisable to consult a doctor about any other vaccinations or preventive measures you may need, such as malaria prophylaxis, although cases are rare in tourist areas. Bringing a first aid kit with basic medications is also a good idea to be prepared for any eventuality during your trip.
