Details of Day Tours

On this tour, we will visit Anchumbil, which is a small and curious red canyon similar to the Talampaya where erosion created a series of passages and hollows worth exploring. We can find petroglyphs, cave paintings and vestiges of diaguita occupation.

After breakfast, we will depart from the hotel towards Banda Florida or Anchumbil (depending on availability), for an hour and a half trekking inside the red canyons. We will walk through the maze of canyons and observe the cave paintings that still retain the original colors protected by a natural projection.

In case of not being able to access Anchumbil, in Banda Florida we can see the petroglyphs: in large smooth stones, we can see the drawings that represent humans, animals, and suns. Despite being outdoors and the movements of the earth, they remain immovable. These figures are related to the Aguada and Ciénaga cultures, before the Diaguita.

After the walk, we will return to the hotel at approximately noon.
