A carriage along guide, will accompany you throughout all the way and it will pick you up around 9:15 am from our accommodation in the city of Tilcara. From there we will take National Route 9 to the town of Abra Pampa, also known as the Argentine Siberia.
We`ll make our first stop for 15 minutes approximately to visit and enjoy the wonderful landscape of the Espinazo del Diablo main viewpoint. There we will take the provincial route nº7 where we will travel for 2 hours to visit the lovers` lagoon and go to Los Pozuelos lagoon natural monument. Once we arrive, we have to register at the Chisel River Ranger post and from there, we will travel about 7 km along a gravel road to the main access of the Laguna de los Pozuelos .
It is important to bear in mind that the presence of flamingos is more abundant between May and September, so we recommend planning your visit during those months to fully enjoy their beauty. In addition to the flamingos, if you are patient and move quietly, you will have the opportunity to spot other fascinating species that inhabit this area, such as vicuñas, suris (rhea from the Puna), foxes and chinchillas.Nature will surprise you at any time.

This experience lasts approximately one full day, around 11 hours, although these times are estimates. During the tour, you will cover a total distance of 400 km, with stretches of asphalt and gravel It is important to be prepared for the altitudes, since the Laguna de los Pozuelos is located at an altitude of 3600 meters above sea level.Do not worry about the language, since the service includes a bilingual guide in Spanish and English. If you want a guide in another language, such as German, Portuguese, French or Italian, you just have to request it in advance.
