Our tour begins with the pick-up starting at 8:30 am at the centrally located hotels in San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca.
We head along Route 38, until we reach La Merced, our first town to visit known as "The hidden paradise". There we will take a city tour of this extensive canyon located between the Ancasti and La Graciana mountain ranges.
While we take the walk, we will cross Balcozna to view its green mountains and streams in a panoramic way. As its Quechua name suggests, it is the “enclosure of the valley”. This little paradise has its own microclimate that invites you to rest and contemplate.
We will continue with the tour and climb the Cuesta de Singuil, which connects two important towns and throughout this trip, we will get to know a large number of towns located along the route. From here, we will see incredible landscapes such as the Yungas Jungle, natural grasslands and a large area of planted fields.
Once we descend the slope, we will return to Route 1 and pass through towns such as El Bolsón and Los Varela, giving us a panoramic view of the attractions of each one.
Finally, we arrive at the town of La Puerta and from there, the Valle River accompanies us until we reach Las Pirquitas Dam, the largest reservoir in the province and which is characterized by being built with different materials from the other reservoirs. We will go down for approximately 20 minutes to enjoy the incredible view that this space offers us. After 6 hours, we will return to the city center to drop you off at your centrally located hotel.
