DAY 1: We will meet in Los Andes, in Chile to begin our crossing. We will check-in at the hotel, and we will have free time to get to know the city.
DAY 2: We will depart by car to Los Patos. From here begins the road taken by San Martín to Santiago, which crosses the Aconcagua Valley and the Putaendo. We will visit the site where the battle of Chacabuco happened, and then we will go to immigration to carry out the necessary procedures before the Chilean authorities. From here we will start our incredible ride, following the course of the Rocín River to our camp in Las Tejas, at 2100 meters high.
DAY 3: We will continue upstream through the Rocín river canyon. We will sleep in El Ciénego, a summer camp for the shepherds.
DAY 4: We will depart in the morning to the international limit at 3990 meters high. Here, at the border crossing, we will find the busts of the heroes San Martin and O`Higgins. We will continue to the limit, where the Argentine authorities will receive us to do the necessary paperwork. Here we will make a change of horses, where we will say goodbye to our Chilean horses to continue riding new animals. We will pass very close to the Aconcagua hill, the highest in America with 6962 meters, and we will make our camp in Valle Hermoso.
DAY 5: We will continue through the Los Patos Valley. This Valley was an ancient lake and it is full of aquatic fossils. We will camp at Rancho de Lata, at 3,500 meters, to rest and prepare for the next day`s challenge.
DAY 6: We will start the march after breakfast. We will cross the slope of Espinacito, at 4550 meters high. The impressive views of the highest point of our journey will remind us of the challenges that the members of the Army of the Andes had to conquer. We will camp to sleep in Manantiales.
DAY 7: On the seventh day of horseback riding and after breakfast we leave for Las Hornillas. Leaving our challenge behind, we say goodbye to the horses and muleteers who accompanied us on this journey. A bus will tait for us here and will take us to Uspallata to spend the night. We will have a delicious farewell dinner celebrating our adventure, and we will spend the night in the hostel to finish with breakfast on day 8 when the services will end.
