The route begins in the Schönau sector, the entrance to La Cumbrecita. From here, the walk continues south, crossing a leafy pine forest next to the Las Mojarras stream, which provides a calm and fresh atmosphere.
After crossing the forest, the trail opens up to the high plains, where the landscape expands into wide, clear views. The fresh air and calm surroundings accompany every step until you reach La Puente Stream, where the trail enters the pine forests of the northern sector of Villa Alpina.
Upon reaching the historic Estancia Cerro Negro, at the foot of Cerro La Mesilla, you feel the connection with tradition and the mountain landscape. The beauty of the place seems frozen in time, perfect for admiring and enjoying.
After about three hours of hiking, you descend towards Villa Alpina, where you can rest by the Los Reartes River, offering a well-deserved rest. The natural surroundings invite you to relax, explore a little, or simply breathe in the tranquility of the valley.
The return journey follows the same trail, completing an experience where nature, history, and mountain landscapes combine in a unique and enriching day.
