The Arroyo La Puente Trek begins on the entrance route to the village of La Cumbrecita, in La Pampita, at 1,420 meters above sea level. From this point, the path invites you to enter a mountain environment of great beauty and to discover little-traveled corners.
The first part of the route runs south, crossing the pine forest that runs alongside the Las Mojarras stream. The trail then winds its way through highland pampas, where the horizon stretches unhindered and the mountain ranges are revealed in all their splendor.
The destination is the La Puente stream, which we follow upstream until we reach the area known as Los Corrales. There, an imposing rocky basin hides the water underground, only to let it reappear a few meters further on in a peaceful surface course. The place is a true example of the strength and patience of nature in its geological process.
After exploring this unique setting and enjoying lunch at the foot of the basin, among willows and native vegetation, it`s time to relax. With free time to explore the area or cool off in its waters, the day ends with the return to La Cumbrecita, taking with it the calm and beauty of the mountains.
