Hiking to El Chorrillo Waterfall from La Cumbrecita
The hike to El Chorrillo Waterfall begins in La Cumbrecita, specifically in Schönau, known as La Pampita, at an altitude of 1,420 metres. From there, the hike heads south, entering a pine forest that borders the Las Mojarras stream, creating a natural and serene environment.
Continuing along the hiking route, the landscape opens up to wide high-altitude pampas with panoramic views of the mountain ranges. You will cross the stream again, where the murmur of the water will accompany you on a quiet path.
After a walk of approximately two hours, you will reach El Chorrillo Waterfall, a 10-meter waterfall in a pristine setting. Here you will have time to enjoy a well-deserved break, have lunch, take photos and cool off in the natural pools that form.
The return to the starting point is along the same path, completing a trekking experience that combines unique landscapes, unspoiled nature and moments of peace in the heart of La Cumbrecita.
