This tour will begin with the pick-up from the < span style="box-sizing: border-box;">hotels in the city starting of the 09:00 hs to the north in order to visit the Jesuit Estancias of Colonia Caroya, Jesús María and Santa Catalina. Their importance is due to the fact that they were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO having been part of the outline of the Old Road Real towards Upper Peru.
Colonia Caroya is a destination that fuses regional flavors, wineries and religious circuits, therefore, is ideal to enjoy nature, local cuisine and to rest. In this case, the visit to this place will be from a historical and religious perspective.
The first stop on the tour will be at the Tourist Interpretation and Jesuit Legacy Center from Colonia Caroya, where we will be around 15/20 minutes to understand the territorial and historical evolution of the Company of Jesus in this area.
Then, we will go to the Estancia de Colonia Caroya, the first rural establishment created by the Society of Jesus in 1616 and < span style="box-sizing: border-box;">where we will be for an hour approximately. There we will visit the museum whose rooms will allow us to understand the Jesuit Legacy, its operation as "First White Weapons Factory" and the important Italian influence.
After enjoying some time in said room, we will go to Jesús María, land of heritage, culture and history, being one of the most important cities in the province.
During the panoramic tour, we will pass through the field where the Argentine Dressage and Folklore Festival takes place in the month of January ;and finally, we will arrive at the Jesuit Jesús María Estancia that dates back to the year 1618. Throughout an hour and a half approximately, we will see the museum and its rooms of sacred Cusco art, archeology and ceramics, among others.
Around noon, either in Jesús María or Colonia Caroya we will have free time to have lunch at a restaurant (lunch not included).
After rest and lunch, we will continue with the trip to reach Santa Catalina, a outstanding space in this area for having some outstanding baroque style churches in the province.
In this town, is theSanta Catalina Jesuit Estate, considered the largest architectural complex of the Company outside of the city of Córdoba and whose origin dates back to the year 1622 Once there, we will make a visit of approximately one hour, with a local guide . and in this way get to know the park, the church and its patios.
Finally, after 10 hours of time travel, we will return to the city and drop you off at your downtown hotel.
