We booked this as a weekend escape and were impressed before the hike even started. The Tangol team answered our questions quickly on WhatsApp, including whether regular sneakers would work, and confirmed pickup details the night before. At La Rinconada, our guide kept the pace easy and pointed out tiny fossils in the reddish rocks. The group was small and relaxed; we ended up chatting with a couple from Brazil over lunch and sharing tasting notes. The homemade empanadas and Torrontés were a perfect finish, with no awkward waiting or rushed moments.
