In the morning, we will pick you up in our vehicles at the designated meeting points in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche. From there, we will begin our journey to the impressive Cerro Catedral, the largest and most renowned ski resort in South America.
During the tour, which lasts approximately 45 minutes, we will skirt the beautiful Lake Nahuel Huapi while slowly ascending the roads that lead to the winter resort. Panoramic views of the mountain range and snow-capped forests will accompany us throughout the journey.
Once at the base of the hill, we will head to the Travesía Building, located in front of the Las Terrazas Shopping Center, where the meeting point is located to pick up passes and equipment. There we will be greeted by our staff, who will provide us with the necessary assistance to collect the complete ski equipment (boots, skis and poles), as well as the thermal clothing included (jacket, pants and helmet).
After getting equipped, we will be introduced to the certified instructors who will be in charge of the activity. At that point, groups will be divided according to the chosen activity: in this case, beginner skiing.
We`ll start with a 2-hour group ski initiation lesson, ideal for those with no previous experience. We`ll learn from scratch how to put on our skis, the basic techniques for gliding, braking, and maintaining balance. Everything will take place in a specially prepared area for beginners, in a safe and controlled environment, with the constant support of instructors. A first experience on the snow that`s as fun as it is unforgettable!
At the end of the class, we`ll take you to one of the restaurants located at the base of the hill to enjoy a well-deserved lunch (not included). You`ll be able to choose from a variety of culinary offerings while you rest and recharge.
In the afternoon, you`ll have free time to enjoy the surroundings of Cerro Catedral at your leisure. Thanks to the included pass, you`ll be able to continue practicing what you`ve learned in the beginner sections, stroll around the base, take panoramic photos of Nahuel Huapi National Park, or simply relax in one of the mountain shelters with a hot drink in hand. You`ll also have the opportunity to browse the shops at the winter resort, where you`ll find everything from souvenirs to delicious Bariloche chocolates.
At the scheduled time, we`ll meet again at the meeting point to begin the return trip to Bariloche. During the return trip, we`ll be able to share our impressions and relive the best moments of this day full of adventure, snow, and fun.
