Details Day Tours

Depending on the choice of the tour, the guide will pick you up at 7:30 AM in Puerto Tranquilo, or we will meet at 9:45 AM on the dock of Exploradores Bay (see below how to get there if you choose the 'no transfer' option). Once we arrive at the pier, we will have a brief safety talk and our guide will give us a general description of our trip.

After embarking on the boat, we will have a delicious breakfast while enjoying the scenic beauty that gives us the final stretch and delta of the Exploradores River. After the smooth navigation of approximately two hours, we will arrive at Laguna San Rafael National Park.

Once we disembark at the dock of the National Park, we can take a short walk along an interpretive path of 30 minutes round trip, to rest from navigation, go to the bathroom and explore the ruins of the historic Ofqui hotel.

After the short rest, we will return to the boat, and we will sail towards the wall of the San Rafael glacier, where we can contemplate its imposing fall and the magnificent natural scenery that surrounds it. Here we will enjoy a delicious homemade lunch, and as a strong point, we will drink whiskey with millenary ice! We can also enjoy a good coffee. After this pleasant navigation, we will return to the pier at approximately 5:00 pm and those who chose the transfer option are returning at approximately 8:00 pm to Puerto Tranquilo.

How to get to the Puerto Exploradores: In Puerto Tranquilo, just before crossing the bridge of the northern limit, you must turn towards the X-728 route towards the Explorers Valley, which must be followed until the end of the road (until Km. 91 ) Take into account that they are approximately 2 Hrs. from Puerto Tranquilo to the meeting point, which will be at 9:45 AM, so at the latest they should leave 7:30 AM from Puerto Tranquilo. Here the crew will be waiting for you, and you will find a wide area to park.
