We left from the central hotels of the Rock. We will travel about 63 km north on Route 43 until we reach the Villa de Antofagasta de la Sierra.
We will be passing through the town of Antofagasta, to visit the Campo de las Tobas, a place that represents local history and where through Rock Art, we will be able to observe petroglyphsengraved on the ground with human figures, footprints, and drawings of different geometric shapes.
Following that, we continue our journey towards the Cañón Real Grande, where we will stop to enjoy this magical place between various canyons with walls up to 70 meters high decorated with beautiful cave paintings.
After visiting the Cañón Real Grande, we will visit a viewpoint located on the western edge of the Galán Volcano at 4,840 meters above sea level.
From inside the crater, we will take the opportunity to be part of a beautiful panoramic view of the Laguna Diamante, one of the most impressive lagoons in our beautiful Catamarca.
Then, we will visit the Galán Volcano, and the most important tourist spots such as the geysers, Laguna Diamante, Laguna del Pabellón, Laguna Grande and Laguna de Cabe. There we will be able to get in touch with nature as well and see its attractive fauna such as flamingos, vicuñas, foxes and more.
To finish, we return back to the central hotels of the Rock.
