At the selected time, we depart from the meeting point on horseback or in the 4x4 vehicle from the Plaza de San Javier until we reach the post.
When we arrive at the post, a special place awaits us to enjoy the winds and mature fruit trees. Here we are welcomed by Don Hernán Ferreyra with his wife Cristina and their children, with a traditional mate with pepperina, homemade bread and some seasonal sweets.
As we walk through the mountains that give life to Ferreyra Post, we will see how cows and horses graze in harmony at the top of it. We can also see a wide variety of farm animals; as is the case of goats, whose pens allow the production of milk and cheese. Furthermore, during the excursion it is possible to come into contact with some of these animals.
The Ferreyra family complies with theWeaving tradition and the harvesting of the mountain weed. That`s why we can see the ponchos, blankets and quilts that they make on a large wooden loom, offering them to their visitors, available for sale.
When finished After tasting the mates, we will go to the corrals where the goats are waiting for their mothers who are grazing. We went up the stream until we reached the Hoya del Tabaquillo, a deep pool with crystal clear waters, where a specimen of the Tabaquillo is found.
Finally we return to the Post, where lunch, and folk music await us. After this we will say goodbye to this beautiful rural experience, to begin the return among streams and ferns again on our horse or in the 4x4 vehicle, depending on the option selected.
During the return at night time unlike daytime, you can see the path illuminated by the stars, the moon and we will take flashlights with us to light the paths.
We will arrive at Estancia Las Violetas where the tour ends after 7 hours.
