Details of Day Tours

We will leave from our selected hotels in La Rioja capital, going first through the beautiful Quebrada de Los Sauces and its huge dike, until we enter our vehicle through the bank of a river, which is dry. Here we will get off the vehicle and start the trekking. 

We will make the ascent along the slope of a steep hill until we reach the top where we will find the remains of an ancient indigenous pucará. Here we can learn more about the ancient inhabitants and explore its fortress, which served for observation and defense. 

Here in the Pucará we will enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the Los Sauces Dam and the Sierras del Velasco. After spending a pleasant time in Pucará, we will be going back down to our vehicle and embarking on the return to the city of La Rioja.
