Book a full day private fishing trip, Fly fishing, Spinning and/or Trolling, accompanied by our expert and best local guides who will take you for a floating trip on the Limay River, Hess Lake or Los Moscos Lake. This excursion takes two fishermen by Cata-Rafts, specifically designed boats for fast-flowing mountain rivers, perfect for fishing where motor boats can`t get access. We will float for about 12 km (7 mi) on the Manso River or withing the lakes, during a full-day trip, fishing from the boat while drifting and also stopping often to wade and fish from the banks in the best spots. Details Day Tours

In the morning, the your guide will pick you up from your hotel/accommodation in Bariloche and you will head towards the boarding place you will chose (Manso River, Hess Lake or Los Moscos Lake).
Manso Riverthis beautiful river flows through the Andean valleys amid native forests and is surrounded by fantastic peaks, running through several lakes: Mascardi, Los Moscos, La Medialuna, Hess, and Steffen. Located about 65 km (40 mi) from Bariloche, it offers opportunities for rainbow trout and brown trout.
Hess Lake: regulations do not allow motorboats on this quiet, gorgeous lake whose shores are lined with dense aquatic vegetation. From our rowboats we can use big flies for dry fly-fishing, and if we’re lucky and get a dragonfly hatch –with big trout jumping two or three feet out of the water to catch them– we will have a truly unforgettable day.
Los Moscos Lake: the Manso River flows into the eastern shore of this small (4 km long) lake and then back out on the west side, which is perfect for a rowboat trip combining fishing for rainbow, brown, and brook trout all across the lake and along a couple of kilometers of the river.

Arriving at the Boarding spot,  your guide will explain to you the fishing technics we offer for the excursion :
  • Fly-fishing: Using a special weighted line, “dressed” hooks that imitate insects, minnow, shrimp, are cast using various techniques. This undoubtedly requires some practice and patience, only to achieve making a good cast. However, fly-fishing has been popular around the world for a very long time and is becoming more so daily. Countless experienced fishermen arrive in Patagonia every year from many countries to ply their craft in these pristine, unpopulated fishing spots, as do novice casters eager to hone their skills.
  • Spinning: This technique involves casting artificial lures, like spoons or spinners, using an appropriate rod and reel. For fishing from the shore or from boats. We recommend using ultra-light equipment and lures, if possible, with single barbless hooks
  • Trolling: Only allowed on lakes, this is an excellent option for those looking to combine sport and sightseeing.
Then, you start your floating trip, navigating on the Limay River, or Lakes, and fishing.
After two hours fishing from the boat, you will get to shore to enjoy a nice 3 courses lunch in the middle of nature. After a nice break, you will get on board again to enjoy the best fishing places Manso River, Hess Lake & Los Moscos Lake have to offer.
Always accompanied by your guide, you will also learn the history of the Bariloche`s region and the best fishing options as well as the local fauna.
After spending the afternoon drifting and fishing, you will join shore, where our assistants will be waiting for you in order for you to take you back to your hotel.

Fishing season
The fishing season starts on November 1st and ends on May 1st every year, all around the National Park. However, for off season fishing, lakes Nahuel Huapi, Gutiérrez and Mascardi are open during May and October, and Moreno lake is open the whole year round for all the fishing modalities.

Age and Fishing Experience:
No fishing experience is required in order to enjoy our customized trips! Our experienced guides will gladly share their expertise and fishing techniques with all, regardless of their experience, skills or age. We tailors the trip characteristics to our clients’ needs and preferences, providing top quality fishing tackle.
