* Insurance: It is recommended that all passengers have personal travel insurance.
* Clothing Recommendations: In keeping with the atmosphere of our expeditions, casual clothing is recommended onboard. Wear casual, comfortable clothing for all activities. Please be aware that much of the spectacular scenery can be seen from the deck, and it can be slippery there. Wear sturdy shoes with non-slip soles and make sure your jacket is always handy. Wear several layers of clothing, as the temperature on board is pleasant, but it can be cold on deck.
* Camping Recommendations: You should be prepared for a night outdoors at the pole. Regulations prohibit bringing any fuel or heating equipment ashore. This means you should bring: Thermal underwear - Sunscreen - Fleece vest or jacket - Sunglasses - Thick socks (with extra pairs) - Down jacket - Warm gloves or mittens - Breathable jacket and pants (e.g., Gore-Tex) - Thermal undergloves (fleece) - A turtleneck or fleece scarf or similar - Warm hat
*Kayaking Recommendations: All kayaking trips are led by certified and experienced guides, but you should always exercise caution when kayaking in polar regions. We will provide you with appropriate outerwear. Kayaking trips are limited to 14 passengers per guide. This number allows the guides to keep track of everyone and ensure support is provided to scale the trip to the group`s skill level. A safety boat will accompany the activity in case of emergencies. All equipment for the activity is included (Paddles with drip rings - Basic wetsuits (4mm neoprene) in different sizes - Kayak spray cover - Light waterproof jacket (cagoule) - Life jacket/kayak vest - Neoprene boots).
