A spotless lakeside hideaway where business travel finally switched off

Reviews

Mallin Colorado Ecolodge

After a long stretch of business travel, Mallin Colorado Ecolodge felt like hitting the reset button. My room was spotless, warm, and genuinely comfortable, with crisp sheets, a firm mattress, and enough space to unpack without performing luggage Tetris. The best part was the view: through the wide window, Lago General Carrera flashed silver at sunrise, and I could spot a lone guanaco near the fence (nature’s oddly judgmental welcome committee). Even the bathroom was immaculate. Quiet, cozy, and wonderfully remote—my weekend detour turned into the highlight of the trip.

A cozy birthday stay with heated-pool afternoons and breathtaking mountain views

Espacio Y Tiempo Hotel De Montaã±a

We stayed at Espacio Y Tiempo for my daughter’s birthday, and it made a great base for Coyhaique. Sunrise from our room lit up the mountains, with a small creek visible below the window. We spent afternoons in the heated pool, then relaxed beside the fireplace in the common room. The terrace had cushioned chairs and hot tea—perfect after exploring. Friendly staff, too.

Birthday basecamp near Coyhaique: easy walks, wild views, and quick access to Patagonia adventures

Reviews

Uman Lodge

Booked Uman Lodge for my birthday and loved waking up in the quiet Fundo La Confluencia, with Coyhaique’s river trails and lookout routes surprisingly close. I walked to the Río Simpson viewpoint in about 25 minutes, then grabbed a coffee back in town without needing a taxi. The lodge feels tucked away, yet it’s a handy base for day trips toward Cerro Castillo and Patagonia’s wild scenery. Great post-adventure retreat!

Quiet Countryside Base Near Coyhaique Highlights

Reviews

Patagonia House

After several busy days on the road, Patagonia House felt like a wonderfully quiet base in Coyhaique. It’s on Camino a Campo Alegre, away from downtown noise, but still close enough to reach Plaza de Armas, local restaurants, and the road toward Simpson River viewpoints in minutes by car. Our room looked over open countryside, and the only alarm was a horse neighing around 7 a.m. We loved returning to the silence after day trips—no traffic, no loud groups, just dark skies and fresh Patagonian air.
