The tour starts with a pick up service from the hotels in the center of Bonito, to go to the Bodoquena region, where our adventure begins.
At the Boca da Onca farm house, we will be greeted by specialized guides, highly trained and experienced, that will accompany us on our 4 km long ecological walk. The trails are well equipped and takes us deeper and deeper into the pantanal to explore the wonderful running-water pools, where we can enjoy a refreshing bath in its crystal clear waters. Then, we continue our trek to pass through 11 waterfalls, each more spectacular than the one before. One of those waterfalls is Boca da Onca, the highest in the state with its 156 m high, from there, you can see the entire Salobra river creek.
As we make our way through the forest trail, we may get to see some of the 340 bird species and 60 mammal species that are known to live in the Serra da Bodoquena region. Due to the large areas of pristine forest you might find endangered species such as jaguars, giant anteaters, otters, red and blue macaws and the king-vulture.
We also offer the possibility of practicing rappelling at the largest platform in Brazil: a metal structure of 34 meters long, that will give you a spectacular view over the Salobra river and the impressive limestone walls of the Bodoquena Hill.
Then, we get back to the ranch, where a traditional lunch will be served alongside the watercourses, so that you can recharge your energies, and relax with the sound of the running water. Also, you can feel free to use of the facilities of the ranch: a bar and restaurant, dressing rooms, bathrooms, a pool, a hammock and a game room.
The tour ends with the transportation service back to your hotel in Bonito
