We begin our journey from a meeting point to be coordinated. We will begin by exploring the ruins of Punta Cuevas, which once housed the first Welsh settlement in Patagonia. Here, history comes to life in the ruined structures and evokes a sense of nostalgia for the past. We continue towards the National Historical Monument to the Tehuelche Indian, a tribute to the native cultures that have inhabited this land for centuries, adding depth to the experience.
Then, we arrive to the Ecocentro, a marine research and conservation center that offers an educational overview of the diversity of marine life that inhabits the surrounding waters.
Our next stop is Kaiser Beach, known for its crystal clear waters and golden sands, a place where natural beauty reigns supreme. Punta Este welcomes us with its sand dunes that contrast vividly with the blue of the ocean, creating an impressive setting.
The best part of our trip is found under the waters in front of Playa Paraná, where the wreck of the Folias ship lies. This former fishing vessel, which sank due to a fire in 1980, has evolved over time to become an artificial reef, home to a rich diversity of marine life, including colorful fish, algae, polyps, anemones and cholgas.
Here we will do an activity to make the excursion more complete: snorkeling with sea lions. Our instructors and guides specialized in marine fauna and the history of each site guarantee a safe and educational experience. Snorkeling is available to people ages 8 and up, and no prior experience is required.
After two hours of crossing, we will finish the excursion in the point where we leave.
