Night in Villa La Angostura

Accommodation Options:

This day you will have free to rest or do any of the various tours that this area of Patagonia offers.

For the more adventurous, our recommendation is to do one of the trekking trails.

Two of the most recognized trails are :

Hike through the Quetrihué Peninsula and Visit to the Arrayanes Forest: to get to the Arrayanes Forest on foot you can do it crossing the Quetrihué Peninsula. There are 12 km that can be covered on foot (and those over 12 years old can also do it by bicycle). The first part of the route has a somewhat steep incline, but afterwards it becomes more leisurely and you will be in the middle of a  original Patagonian forest.

On the way you will cross two lakes and you will find the possibility of diverting to two viewpoints: the Arrayán viewpoint and Messidor viewpoint, which offer panoramic views of Bahía Brava and Bahía Mansa respectively.

Once you reach the entrance to the forest itself, there are wooden walkways that run through the forest in a circular.
The return route is the same way, so for those who want to do another activity, they can return by Catamaran.
Also, those who do not want to do The walk can come and go by boat on the lake (it is recommended to book in advance).

Hiking to the Ñivinco Waterfall: trail of low difficulty that leads to the Ñivinco waterfall, in the heart of the Nahuel Huapi National Park.
Heading north along Route 40, the signage indicates on the side of the Road of the Seven Lakes ad I go towards the waterfall. At 20 meters you will find the vehicle parking lot and a few meters away, a gate that begins this peaceful 45-minute walk (the path has an extension of approximately 4 km.).
This walk is rewarded with a 200 meter long beach and a 10 meter high waterfall. Along the trail you can see several falls and wells of crystalline green waters.

Night in Villa La Angostura

After breakfast and check out at the hotel Taking Route 40 to the north, you will find the Route of the Seven Lakes, which connects Villa La Angostura and San Martín de Los Andes. This 110-kilometer path is an attraction in itself , since along it you can make stops at the different viewpoints that offer panoramic views of each lake.

Internationally recognized for its incomparable beauty, the Route of the 7 Lakes connects in a four-hour trip (including stops) the Machónico, Falkner, Villarino, Escondido, Correntoso, Espejo and Nahuel Huapi lakes.

Once in San Martín de los Andes , we recommend checking in at your hotel and taking the rest of the day to explore the city and visit its beautiful beaches.
It is a great opportunity to see the city from the Arrayanes viewpoint.
